LADIES’ DAY by Jesse McQueen & Jack Creaghan, premiered at the Toronto Fringe Festival 2026 produced by 1East Productions on July 2nd, 2026 at VideoCabaret. The entire run sold out, and the production received the Patrons’ Pick Award.

PRIDE & PREJUDICE, a brand new adaptation co-penned by Jesse McQueen & Ferron Delcy, received its World Premiere with Wren Theatre at the Annex Theatre in Toronto on February 18th, 2026.

ROMEO PIMP by Jesse McQueen received its World Premiere at The King Black Box Theatre with 1East Productions in Toronto on September 17th, 2025. The production received four Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations in 2026, including for Jesse: Outstanding New Play & Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble.

Jesse McQueen is a playwright and actress based in Toronto. She holds an honours dual degree in Psychology and English Language & Literature from Western University, and she is a graduate of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting's 3-Year Conservatory in New York City.

Over the past year, she has had three scripts produced: Ladies' Day (1East Productions; Patrons' Pick at Toronto Fringe 2026), Romeo Pimp (TKBB & 1East Productions; four Dora Mavor Moore Award 2026 nominations including Outstanding New Play), and a brand-new adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (Wren Theatre).

She is a two-time Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference finalist with her play 36 Juniper, which premiered in New York City with Wrong House Productions and was nominated for Outstanding Premiere Production of a Play at the 15th annual New York Innovative Theater Awards. She has written several award-winning short films that have screened at festivals throughout North America and the UK.
